To the Yearly Meeting now sitting

we the committee on Indian concerns
Report, that since the last Yearly Meeting
we have been engaged in endeavouring to
promote the concern of Friends for effecting
the civilization of the Indian Natives, &
the introduction of the arts of Husbandry
amongst them, and although nothing very
important has occurred in our intercourse
with them, since our last report yet we
believe they are gradually becoming more &
more desirous to avail themselves of the aid
which is proffered them by Friends

our settlement on the Wabash remained
under the care of one of the young men who
were employed by us for the last year, until
early in the 5th month last. It appears by
information from him, that his time was
occupied during the winter in taking care
of the Stock, clearing more ground, and
geting rails to enclose it. He also informed that
the corn &Garden Vegetables which were raised
& not wanted for his own use, had been distributed
amongst such of the Indian families as were in
necessitous circumstances
