on the way early in the morning, & there to result whe-
ther we would proceed further in the business.

3rd day 12th

Agreeably to the conclusion of yesterday
we early set out in company with Jeremy Moor &
Wife to John Hills, where we got to breakfast, &
after some further conference on the aforesaid uneasi-
ness, we concluded to attend a general conference with
all their members, and others concerned, at the Meeting
house aforesaid, and care was now taken to get notice
forward to meet as soon in the afternoon as conveni-
ency would admit. Soon after breakfast we set out
in company with John Hill & Jeremy Moore on
horseback, several others going on foot arrived in
the neighbourhood about noon, went to Joshua
Gillharris where we left our horses & walked to John
Taylors to dinner, after which went to the Meeting
house where we were met by all the men friends &
others particularly concern’d & after a time of solid
waiting & travail of Spirit, strength was afforded
to treat the subject with great plainness & affec-
tion, reminding them how tenderly they had been
cared for, both by the Father & his Church, the se-
rious effects which must be consequent on their suf
fer
