Hours, Then Set saile in the Sloop Elizabeth, bound
for New York, Garrot Launsen Master
where I arived in three Days & half 165 miles Staying there
too days having the Fever & aque; from thence to Trenton
by Stage 6.5 miles Lodging at Mahlon Atkinson’s so by
Stage to Bristle 10 miles; lodging at Jonathan Pursals
So by his assistance got Home next Day, it being
about Twelve Days Journey.

The 16th of the 10th month; I Set out to the
Oneida Country; the second time, in company
with Joseph Clark; of philadelphia; in order to
bring down some Indian Girls, to be placed amo-
ngst Friends in Pennsylvania, to be taught
all kinds of House Wifery; In about 5 weeks we
returned with Six, Four Stockbridge and too
Tuscororas.
