then down said creek 5 miles to
Southampton, a small village, from
thence to Henry Clifton’s at King-
wood
; 12 miles; perhaps 7 miles
back off some heights, there are
two delightful prospects, over a
large extent of an improv’d country,
down the waters of the Rariton; we
having cross’d several branches of
said stream on our way hither.
About one mile back we left Pitts-
town
, a small village to our right.
