went to Abraham Lapham’s, 2 miles,
where I left my companion, & went to
Caleb Macumber’s, who with his wife
are valuable young friends lately
settled in these parts; in the evening
they went 1 ½ mile to their father’s
Jeremiah Smith, where we lodged
11 miles.


Caleb & his wife went with me to
Abraham Lapham’s this morning,
where we stay’d till after dinner, being
among kind valuable friends, & our
horses faring very well render’d it an
agreeable time; having, in company
with the committee that went to Can-
last fall, visited friends here
in their families, & held several meet-
ings among them I felt great sat-
isfaction in being once more among
them, & the company of a friend to
