together, & for miles again tolerable
good, at length got to Genavy, to
Breakfast, 16 miles, a Town conta-
ining about Sixty dwelling houses
some of which are very ellegant, &
elligantly situated near the mar-
gin of the Seneca Lake, which is
allowied to be upwards of two
miles broad; from thence went
16 miles further to Harrises Inn where
I Lodged, through a grievous storm of
rain, the road tollarable good except
about two miles of the latter part,
which was exceeding deep & muddy,
crossed the outlet of Seneca Lake, by
Bridge, not exceeding three rods
in width, and also ferried over
the Cayuga Lake, it being about
one mile broad, over which they
are about erecting a Bridge
