had a satisfactory conference with him agreeably to
their appointment, in which they laid before and
explained to him the views of friends in their
movements for the amelioration of the situation of the the Indians
within this State, with which the Governor
appeared to be satisfied, and disposed to
promote the benevolent designs of Friends

The Treasurer is desired to continue to pay
to John Dean

the annual compensation of
Fifty Pounds till otherwise directed by this
Committee.

The Committee being at this time impressed
with solicitude for the welfare of the Indian
Natives was engaged in the consideration of
selecting some of its number to make a visit
to the Brothertown
