we suppose you feel yourselves
happy and we also feel ourselves happy
All the Indians and the white People know
that the Great Spirit talks with our
Prophet, it is now seven years since he
first began to talk with him - & he told
the Indians they must leave of drink-
ing Whisky, and they have declin'd
the use of it --

Brothers -
you must tell your friends
when you go home to make their
minds quite easy, for we are determined
never to let the whisky rise again, and
also to pursue habits of industry, and never
them -- Your young men and us are
like one - when we want any thing
done we consult them and they assist
us, and our Prophet tells us what to
do and so we get instruction from both.
