Things being thus afflictingly circumstances
amongst us, there was no meeting of the Committee
on Indian Affairs

to attend at the usual time & Place, a meeting
was held, and we should have been pleased
to have heard from you which has been the case
but once in an official way since Joshua Sharples
& John Pierce left You; for notwithstanding
our minds have been exercised with the awful
Scenes about us, yet I believe you have often
been brought into remembrance, & to have
have heard at the last meeting of your welfare
etc. would have afforded satisfaction to all then
