your Chiefs when in Baltimore
not assist them at more than one place at a
time, that we were poor but their father the
President was rich & able to help them, and
we had learned that he had promised them
his aid & we cannot understand why the young
men with their tools which their father had
sent were turned back when the expense was
nothing to the Indians yet it cost your father
