10th. Month 6th 1799
first day of the week, now tak-
ing a final farewell of many of
the Indians at Coniscotago Village
some of whom appear’d very
sorry of my departing from
them. I set forward up the
river in a Canoe, to Genesinguhta
about 9 miles, our Settlement where
my Companions resided and where
some of the principal Men came
to see me start in the morning.

2nd day 7th. After taking so-
