turn out to Hunt, in order to get
some Meat to furnish their feast
Table, accordingly upward of
30 men set out and returned the
day following with 17 Dear, af-
ter which great booking being
carried on, by some men, & some
Women, apointed the preced-
ing day of course about noon
their dance commenc’d near if
not quite two Hundred, men, wo-
men, & Children dancing (I sup-
pose not much short, if any, of one
Hundred as spectators) in several
circles round their Wooden Im
age, which had a white dog hang-
ing on it, with some Wampum,
Ribands & paint about him
