hawk in a Boat, continued up
the River between two Moun-
tains; the flats on each Side
the River appeared fertile,
but narrow; in about 20 miles
came to old general Jonstons


Seat; it was a large Stone House,
for this part of the Country; and
had Some out Houses of a curious
Structure; dined at Cagnawago,

is an Indian Name, the Etymology
of which is, Cag in the Wagon.
