it having cleared up from north-west
last evening and our house being
very open we suffered with the cold.
I may just note there is a great
appearance for straw-berries on
some parts of the old Indian fields.

27th first of the week.

I neglected nothing
in its proper place that fifth day
last about 11 oclock we retir’d into
our humble cabin, and were favourd
to witness the overshadowings of con-
soling goodness, to the comforting
and contriting of our spirits, and
this day we had a like opportunity,
and were, I thought alike favoured.
may such seasons be remember’d
with gratitude and with thank-
fulness, and may our young friends
be encouraged and strengthend
to keep up such religious opportuni-
