likely our horses will very much

own provision and then proceeded on
12 miles further where after feeding
our horses we took dinner in like man
ner and got to Fort Franklin before
4 O Clock, 14 ½ miles pretty much fa-
tigued, part of our road being tedious
and rough, and we sensibly felt
the effects of our poor nights rest.
We met with but few houses in this day’s
ride the country has been pretty lev-
el, except about Sandy Creek and
since which creek we crossed 3 miles
