tho’ high, was not difficult assending
being rather a succession of mounta
ins than one huge pile, We had seve-
ral very steep asscents and descents
while on this mountain, yet our
road went much of the way on the
top of very high ridges; when we ar-
rived at its greatest eminence we stop-
ped at an inn and refreshed ourselves
here we met with a fine Spring of
water near the Door we here turnd
to the left taken the glade road
the decent from this mountain
was gradual the land arable, tho’
stony.

It is call’d 10 miles across.

We now enter what is call’d the
glades having understood, in places
there where flats or openings where
much gross was cut.
