a remnant of Blessed People especi-
ally Women, in whom my Soul
took great delight. The men
& Boys had taken to Work like
White People, which I was very glad
to see, but other disagreeable cir-
cumstances happening to some
of them, was truely cause of sorrow
as many of the leading men, who
were held in the hiest esteemation
had latterly taken to the excessive
use of strong drink, some of whom
had spent much money that way,
I had to communicate to them
some close counsel, and felt com-
forted, & relieved therein.
