after a pause, friends exprest a
wish, that I could have felt easy
to remain in my present Port
during the ensueing Winter, but
believed it right to leave the mat-
ter pretty much to myself. I
then exprest how important
the concern had been with me
and that I stood fully resign’d
to the divine will, either to go, or
to stay longer, had at times no
choice in it, but as I had been
favoured to see Latterly & at
that present time, pretty clear-
ly, that it was my Duty to
return home. Some of
the Indians then assembled again
