often the case that people were apt
to take too much strong drink, its
the great Spirit who made it to use
but did not make it to hurt people
and the Indians did not kee
from injureing themselves greatly
by it, and if they do still get drunk,
abuse themselves and injure others
they need not expect to come to
that happy place. Guide told
him to look round towards the
river, which he did, and saw ma-
ny Canoes loaded with Kegs of Whis-
key, and also saw an ugly fellow
whom the guide told him was the
D.l. going about very busy doing
and making all the noise and
