ded, at the request of Cornplanter
when a large number of them assem-
bled with shorter notice than ever
I had seen them before, men Wo-
men & Children, many of whom
appeared Solid and weighty , where-
in I felt the love of God flowing
powerfully amongst us, and near
the close had to communicate some
Council to them, which was (I be-
lieve well accepted,) the old
Chiefs sister came to us after
the Council was over, and
thanked me for what I had
said to them.
