They next objected to a part
of the eighth Article relative
to the Oxen and Horses and
Oxen being worked, saying, “We
have but two pair of Oxen be-
longs to the Town, and some bo-
dy is always using them, but
therefore we can’t spare them;
but there is a pair of Steers,
you may have them to break
and work: and our Horses we
can’t spare them; because they
a'n't good for anything to work.
