but informed them withal, that
they ought not depend too much
on their Brothers, the Quakers,
for
help; but that they must try
to help themselves; that we were
willing to assist them a little
in the Beginning; but as we
wanted
to help all their In-
dian Brothers a little, and
as there was a
great many
of them, they could not expect
that we could do a great
deal
for any one Nation; and more-
over, as we saw they had a
great
deal of very good Land; an as we
were willing to shew
them
how to work their good Land,
