we went in the Evening to see Edward Tiffen
the Late Governor of the State of Ohio & had
some Conversation with him respecting the
selling of whiskey to the Indians in this State
he seems well disposed & said he would use his
influence with the Leading members of the
Legislature of this state in order to have a
Law passed to that effect.

7th Elisha & David went to see Worthington
who lives about 1-1/2 Miles out of Town they
were pretty well satisfied with their visit
& found Very Friendly & well disposed to
forward our Views respecting prohibiting Whiskey
being sold to the Indians after their return

Websters where we lodged
