Summary: The scrapbook, probably assembled in the late 19th century, includes material on Indian education, conflicts of Christian missionaries with the Quakers, description of culture and emigration, etc. Important documents include the "Epistle from the Onondagas" (1811), "Speech of the Cattaraugus Indians" (1815), letters from Friends in Upper Canada concerning native Americans in Canada, and a 20 page report from John D. Lang and Samuel Taylor Jr. on native American groups west of the Mississippi in 1843.
