Summary: James Gillingham was the son of John and Sarah Taylor Gillingham of Buckingham Monthly Meeting in Bucks, County Pennsylvania. He transferred his membership to Indian Spring in 1782, and married Elizabeth Hayward there in 1786. The family later moved to Baltimore where James was an Elder and Overseer.
