half a mile a mile we passed
through Planetsburgh a Village
of perhaps 30 Log houses, shortly
after we pass’d this town we as-
scend’d the 3rd Mountain much
like the 2 last discribed, from
thence to Bird’s at fort littleton 5
miles, through a rough country surrounded
with lofty mountains some pretty
good improved places made their ap
pearance, and the roads considering
the roughness of the country not
to be complained of here we got our
breakfast 12 miles.

From thence to Skiners on the
top of Sidling hill 11 miles through a
rough broken poor country, very little
inhabited, Sidling hill, a lofty moun
tain 7 miles cauced us over, we roded
near 4 miles on its summit which
