Gnesinguhta 16th of 6th mo 1799 To the Committee on Indian affairs

Dear Friends,
Since we wrote to you last, we
received your very acceptable Letter
dated the 19th of 2nd month which
was the first we received from
you jointly since our settleing
here; some weeks since we re-
ceived a few Lines from Thomas
Wistar
& Thomas Stewardson, de-
sireing one of us to go to Hickery-
Town for a yoke of Oxen, which
accordingly was done, and also
explor’d the settlements as far
as Fort Franklin in quest of
a Cow, but could find none
